During a working trip to the Kyzylorda region, the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nogayev and the head of the region Gulshara Abdykalikova visited Baikonur, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
April 3, 2019 in Moscow during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev to the Russian Federation, an Agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on gas supply to the Baikonur complex (hereinafter referred to as the Agreement), which was ratified by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 26, 2020 No. 305-VI ZRK.
The Agreement provides consumers to transfer from LPG to natural gas and gives the following advantages:
- consumers of Baikonyr, of which about 60% are Kazakh citizens, are consistently provided with available and environmentally clean fuel - natural gas, which is much cheaper than liquefied petroleum gas.
It is worth noting that since 2020, the implementation of gasification projects of Kazalinsk city and the settlement of Bekezhanov, Shielinsky district has begun, which in turn will contribute to improving the social conditions of the region's residents.
Nurlan Nogayev and Gulshara Abdykalikova got acquainted with the work of “Production and Energy Association “Baikonyrenergo” in Baikonur.
Following the visit, the Minister gave a number of specific instructions to the responsible persons.
