Minister of Education Discusses the Development of Artificial Intelligence in Education with OpenAI

Minister of Education Zhuldyz Suleimenova held a working meeting with a delegation from OpenAI to discuss the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into Kazakhstan’s secondary education system.

The meeting was attended by Valerie Focke, Head of Education for Countries, and OpenAI experts responsible for educational initiatives and the implementation of AI-powered solutions.

The participants discussed the potential use of artificial intelligence tools in the learning process, the development of digital competencies among teachers and students, and teacher training to support the ongoing digital transformation of education.

Particular attention was given to international experience in the use of artificial intelligence in education, including best practices from countries actively integrating advanced digital technologies into teaching and learning.

Zhuldyz Suleimenova noted the Ministry of Education’s interest in exploring and adopting innovative solutions aimed at improving the quality of education and strengthening students’ digital skills.

The meeting was held as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to advance educational technologies and support the modernization of the education system.
