Vice Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Abzal Abdikarimov took part in the 12th meeting of the heads of the Ministries of Economy and Trade of the OTS in Istanbul
During the meeting, representatives of the OTS member states discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation and investment, including the development of entrepreneurship, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, etc.
In his welcoming speech, the Vice Minister pointed out that the meeting would contribute to strengthening relations between the countries of the OTS.
Abzal Abdikarimov:
"The Organization of Turkic States has great potential. Kazakhstan attaches particular importance to the expansion of mutual trade and economic cooperation with the countries of the Organization of Turkic States. We need to make every effort to increase trade turnover and deepen cooperation between business circles."
Also during the meeting, the parties discussed the development of small and medium-sized businesses, green finance and the digital economy.
The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was established on October 3, 2009. The Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States was renamed into the Organization of Turkic States in 2021. The OTS includes:
