Konayev general plan development presented to the Minister of National Economy
During a business trip to Almaty Region, Alibek Kuantyrov got acquainted with Konayev general plan development and the G4 City smart city project.
Konayev area is 9 thousand hectares. According to the new general plan project area with the expansion of the boundaries is 19 thousand hectares. According to the demographic forecast, Konayev population will reach 200 thousand people by 2050.
Main administrative buildings will be located within the existing boundaries Konayev city. Zhana - Ile" site provides for the placement of social, residential and cultural facilities.
Kapshagay reservoir and Ili River provide an opportunity for active development of water tourism with access to the international service level, with the holding of major competitions and sports camps.
Gambling zone, subject to integration with the cultural and entertainment facilities, can develop into a leading international tourist area, said the developers of the master plan.
Currently, a total of 107 residential buildings, 5 educational schools and 2 polyclinics are under construction.
KZT 44.7 billion is required for the development of engineering infrastructure, and KZT 7.5 billion is required for road repairs.
" Expansion of Konayev, and construction of G4 City project, is undertaken in an effort to reduce demographic pressure and the pressure of business activity to shift from Almaty to the agglomeration. Potential is great and in the future we plan to turn the Almaty region from a recipient of the national budget into a donor of the budget. We see interest from investors. Government will pay special attention to the implementation of certain projects. For example, the construction of infrastructure in the new part of the city, as well as the renewal of worn-out infrastructure in the old city. There, the networks are up to 90% and higher in wear and tear. It is a problem of many areas and here we will need to work closely and provide support," - stressed the Head of the MNE.
