First domestic forum "QazPolymers-2022" dedicated to development of domestic market of polymer products held in Atyrau

The opening ceremony was attended by Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov, Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas NC JSC Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Presidium of  Atameken NCE Raiymbek Batalov, as well as Chairman of the Board of Baiterek NMH JSC Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. JSC Daniyar Tiesov, the Press Service of the akim of the region reports.

Speaking at the forum, Serik Shapkenov noted that the implementation of anchor projects in the Atyrau region will contribute to the development of infrastructure, attraction of investments and the latest technologies, creation of new jobs, where the necessary support from the akimat will be provided.

“Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev launched an integrated gas chemical complex as part of a working trip to the Atyrau region. This project can be called the first sign of the petrochemical industry. Specialists from each industry of the country met for the first time at the first domestic forum "QazPolymers-2022". It is important for all of us to jointly implement a project that will allow the use of polypropylene products in various fields. The Akimat continued the implementation of anchor projects in the special economic zone, provided the necessary support. Thus, I am sure that, thanks to our joint efforts, we will implement many more large and significant projects. In addition, I think that entrepreneurs involved in the production of polypropylene need to develop a program that will support KazMunayGas NC JSC as a manufacturer of products, the Akimat will provide land, create infrastructure, and Baiterek NMH JSC will provide support in the form of providing benefits,” S. Shapkenov said.

The first domestic forum "QazPolymers-2022" was attended by about 100 representatives of companies manufacturing polymer products (products) from the Russian Federation and each region of our country.

Within the framework of the first domestic forum “QazPolymers-2022”, Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov and Chairman of the Board of “Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.” Daniyar Tiesov signed a memorandum of cooperation and interaction in the framework of supporting and developing the petrochemical industry in the country.
