Harvesting campaign in Atyrau region is on time

This was announced by Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture Bagdat Rustemov, the Regional Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.

This year, the area under crops has increased in the region, and the number of melons and gourds has also increased. To date, the total area of ​​sown fields is more than 10 thousand hectares. Now in the Makhambet district and the city of Atyrau, harvesting work continues.

According to the Deputy Head of the department, this year the harvesting work in the region began on time, while the pace of the harvesting campaign is higher than last year.

“To date, vegetable and fruit crops, animal feed have been harvested in the region from 10 thousand hectares. Including more than 92 thousand tons of vegetables, more than 42 thousand tons of melons and about 28 thousand tons of potatoes. Also, 95.5% of the area was harvested for fodder crops, about 19 thousand tons of fodder were harvested from sowing grasses. The sown area cultivated using water-saving technology also increased by 4,500 hectares,” B. Rustemov said.

According to the district departments of agriculture, to date, harvesting work has been completed in the Zhylyoy, Isatay, Kyzylkoga, Kurmangazy, Makat, Inder districts. And the indicator of the work of the city of Atyrau and Makhambet district is 98%. It is expected that by the end of this month the harvesting campaign in the region will be fully completed.
