
This was announced by the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Land Relations of Kurmangazy district Askar Muftakh, the Regional Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.
In the village of Tengiz, Kurmangazy district, the farmer Temirtas Sultangaziyev, who has been farming for more than 20 years, has two hectares of sown land and 65 hectares of hayfields. From its sown area, located 6 km from the village, on the Bazhan site, in the summer, the harvest of melons and gourds is 50-60 tons, which are sold in rural and regional markets. And from the hayfields, 1,000 rolls of hay are harvested per year.
“The seeds that we sow in early spring give a rich harvest of melons and watermelons, cucumbers and tomatoes in summer. Other crops such as potatoes and cabbage also increased our income. With our harvest from the fields, we satisfy the demand of the population in demanded products until late autumn and often hear words of gratitude,” T. Sultangaziyev said.
In addition, the farmer was one of the first in the region to introduce the drip irrigation method. Not only does he have a great demand for his harvest, he also sells young seedlings to those who have small crops in the yard.
It should be noted that there are 896 farms in the Kurmangazy district, 21 of them are in the Tengiz rural district.
