The Malaysian company Elektro Serve (M) Sdn Bhd and the Kazakh company Alshin-West LLP signed an agreement on the creation of a joint venture Alshin Elektro Serve in the city of Atyrau, the Communications Service of Atyrau region reports.
Kanysh Mambetov, Acting Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development of the Atyrau Region, who took part in the event, said that the local authorities are carrying out large-scale work to implement investment projects that contribute to the development of the region and create jobs for the local population.
And the Ambassador of Malaysia to Kazakhstan, Said Abdu Rahman, who arrived specially from the city of Nur-Sultan, wished good luck to this undertaking and expressed hope for the continuation of joint projects.
The start of the joint project of the two countries was laid during the visit of the management of Kazakh Invest NC JSC to Malaysia in 2019.
The joint venture will carry out maintenance and repair of high-voltage motors, generators, compressors, pumps and turbomachines.
Elektro Serve (M) Sdn Bhd was founded in the 1990s as a specialized company for the design and manufacture of electrical equipment, mechanics and instrumentation. Today it is the number 1 company in Malaysia for the maintenance and repair of high-voltage equipment (motors, generators). It maintains, diagnoses, repairs and rewinds low and high voltage generators.
Elektro Serve (M) Sdn Bhd has joint ventures with several renowned international original equipment manufacturers such as Jeumont Electric, Indar and Schneider Electric.
Acting as a partner from the Kazakh side, Alshin-West LLP, in turn, provides the necessary infrastructure, production base, equipment and local personnel.
The domestic company, which has been operating in the field of repair of low-voltage electrical equipment since 2016, through participation in the joint venture will reach a new level in the provision of services that meets European standards. According to the head of Alshin-West LLP, Orazkeldy Satambaky, before that, large oil and gas companies in the region were repairing their equipment in Europe. Now, together with a well-known Malaysian company in Europe, it is planned to provide quality services in Atyrau itself.
Elektro Serve (M) Sdn Bhd will provide the latest equipment, technology, standards, procedures and qualified engineers to train local professionals.
“The main goal is to form a tradition of quality service. First, we will provide services to large enterprises in the oil industry. Future plans include the production of motors, generators and pumps. The fact that a joint venture was created in the city of Atyrau is no coincidence. There are many large oil companies here who are suitable for providing services in our profile. In the future, we plan to enter the Russian market,” Chief Technical Officer of the Malaysian company Kirk Zhan Belyan said.
To date, four local specialists have been trained and started to work. By the end of the year, their number is planned to be increased to 20 people.
