A fish processing plant was built in Kurmangazy in the village of Birlik, 50 people were employed

This year, a similar fish processing plant will be launched in the village of Tengiz.

This was announced by the akim of Kurmangazy district, Kairat Nurtayev, who reported on the work done over the past year, the Communications Service of the Atyrau region reports.

“Before that, most of the fish caught was sent abroad in a frozen, chilled, dried form in accordance with the European standard. In order to process fish, develop a pond economy, the production cooperative "Caspi-Balyk" with the involvement of an investor from Russia built a fish processing plant in the village of Birlik. The 200 million project will produce 30 tons of fish per day. Currently, 50 people are involved in permanent work.

During the fishing campaign, 350 tons of fish were processed in accordance with the European standard,” speaker Kairat Nurtayev said.

It should be noted that during the reporting period 3361 tons of fish were exported to the Russian Federation, Georgia, Ukraine.
