
Today, a ceremonial capsule laying ceremony was held in the southern industrial zone of Atyrau to lay the foundation of the future Texol Steel Technology foundry, a new strategic facility within the framework of the development of the region's industrial cluster.
The event was attended by Akim of the Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov, Director of Texol Trans LLP Boris Ziganshin, Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee Shyngys Suinbayev, Head of the Heavy Machinery Department Toreadil Abdrakhmanov, as well as business representatives, builders and journalists.
The project is being implemented as part of the formation of a large industrial cluster in Atyrau, the center of which is the Atyrau Carriage Works. The new foundry will produce steel cast parts for railway cars. The project is aimed at localizing the production of components previously supplied from abroad. The main raw materials β scrap metal and ferroalloys β will come from Kazakhstani suppliers.
The enterprise will produce up to 60,000 tons of cast parts per year, the launch of the plant is scheduled for 2027.
Akim of the region Serik Shapkenov noted in his speech:
βThe start of construction of the foundry is an important step in the development of the Atyrau industrial cluster. The plant will localize the production of wagon components by 96%, create more than 500 jobs and contribute to the growth of the manufacturing industry. This is an example of the practical implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State,β Akim of the Atyrau region Serik Shapkenov said.
As part of the ceremony, a time capsule was laid with a message to future generations, signed by the Akim of the region and the head of the company.
Also during the event, the director of Texol Trans LLC Boris Kharisovich Ziganshin was solemnly awarded the title of Honorary Railway Worker as part of the Day of Railway Workers.
