Kassymbek Zhenis Mahmuduly was born in Zhambyl region in 1975.

He graduated from the Kazakh State Academy of Architecture and Construction with a degree in Architecture and Design. In 2001, he graduated from the Gumilyov Eurasian State University with a degree in Public Administration.

Карьера

He began his career in 1997 as an intern researcher at Kazakh State Academy of Architecture and Construction.

In 1998 to 2000, he headed the department of the Committee for the Antimonopoly Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He worked as the Director of the Water Transport Department of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2004 to 2005, he worked as the Director of Aktau International Sea Commercial Port.

In November 2005, he was appointed the Vice-Minister of Transport and Communications. Then he was the Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. He later served as the Minister of Transport and Communications.

After that, he served as the Minister for Investment and Development and Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development.

February 25, 2019 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

September 19, 2019 to December 2022 - Akim of Karaganda region.
