Dear graduates!
It is a great honor to be here amongst you. It is indeed a privilege to give a commencement speech to the graduates of the leading universities in the country.
Fourteen years ago, just like you, I experienced these exciting and long-awaited emotions.
This year, our Alma mater celebrates its 30th anniversary.
I congratulate students, alumni, parents, staff, and faculty members on this important day!
KIMEP is the first university in Central Asia that implemented international standards of education. In these 30 years, KIMEP has become a quality mark, producing the most competitive young professionals.
For me, KIMEP opened a fascinating path to the world of knowledge. I got my bachelor's degree here. Most importantly, I was inspired by the spirit of continuous personal development.
Like Abraham Lincoln, one of the most prominent presidents of the United States said: “I will prepare, and someday my chance will come.”
I have never strayed from this path following this credo, building up my baggage of knowledge and experience. And that recipe has not failed me. Today I am sharing this recipe with you. Through knowledge and persistence, you can move forward, developing your experience and skills.
We live in a difficult, but fascinating time of high speeds and tectonic changes. Today, having received your cherished diplomas, many new paths and opportunities are opening for you. Some of you will continue your education, some will get a job, and some will start your own business.
No matter what choice you make, the country desperately needs you: young, creative, and educated patriots of your country.
It is symbolic that your graduation coincided with the beginning of the construction of the New Kazakhstan. This year, the Head of State announced large-scale political and economic reforms.
In parallel with the political transformations taking place in the country, our Agency is implementing structural and institutional reforms in the economy.
The result of all reforms is a real increase in incomes and living standards of our people, as well as opportunities for the young generation, which you represent today!
Each of you can contribute to the growth and development of Kazakhstan.
I believe that together we can build a "New Kazakhstan."
Once again, I sincerely and warmly congratulate you on your graduation! Best wishes for your next adventure!
