Certain conditions are created for the implementation of these tasks in the region. Thus, for the research and archaeological work of the "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" and the Akmola Regional Museum of Local Lore under the Department of Culture of the Akmola region, 42.0 million tenge was allocated from the regional budget:

in 2020 - 42.0 million tenge,

in 2021 - 10.338 million tenge,

in 2022 – 23.700 million tenge.

The result of the work was the study of the ruins in 2020 of a medieval mausoleum on the territories of the Korgalzhinsky district, where one of the founders of the Kazakh Khanate, Zhanibek Khan, is supposedly buried. During the excavations, the archeologists of the Akmola Regional Museum of Local Lore collected about 60 whole and fragmented glazed bricks with carved ornaments and turquoise watering. Despite the hundreds of years that have passed since their manufacture, they have retained their strength and pristine beauty. As a result of archaeological excavations, 13 silver dirhams, 2 bronze staples, bone beads, bone knife handles, glazed decorative plates were transferred to the museum fund. The total number of artifacts found is 34 units. 6 skeletons were found, which are currently stored in the funds of the Akmola Regional Museum of Local Lore. The materials were sent to Sweden for the removal of genetic analyses. Anthropologists from Russia have recreated the anthropological appearance of the finds. After the final analysis, it will be possible to say that this mausoleum belongs to one of the founders of the Kazakh Khanate – Zhanibek Khan, - said the head of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region Aigul Sabitova.

According to the department, excavations carried out by archaeologists in 2021 at the burial ground of the early Iron Age (VII-III centuries BC) Magdalinovka I of the Atbasar district and archaeological research at the settlement of Krasny Yar of the Botai culture (Eneolithic era) near the city of Kokshetau became no less rich in artifacts.

On the left bank of the Yesil River near the village of Magdalinovka, during archaeological research, more than 15 artifacts were discovered: fragments of ceramic dishes, iron arrowheads of Saka-Scythian origin, plaques from a belt, a bronze pendant and ornamented bone products.

During archaeological excavations at the settlement of Krasny Yar of the Botai culture, more than 50 artifacts were discovered, these are fragments of ceramic dishes, large osteological material, spearheads and arrows, javelin tips, fragments of stone perforated discs, ornamented horse phalanges, stone scrapers, massive axes, bone needles, two-sided awl and other artifacts.

In 2022, the Akmola Regional Museum of Local History in the Zhaksyn district conducted research on the Saryoba mound, dating back to the Saka period. During the excavations, human burials and women's jewelry were found.

Within the framework of the project "Kazynalyk kazba ult kundylygy", the "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" in the Zerendinsky district near the village of Kenetkol conducted an archaeological expedition to a settlement dating back to the Bronze Age (XVII-XV century BC).

All the artifacts found were transferred to the Akmola Regional Museum of Local Lore and adequately replenished the collection of valuable exhibits of the museum's funds and are extremely important in the study of the history of human development.

KSU "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage" of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region is conducting preliminary work to identify the presence of historical monuments on land plots allocated to various land users.

During the research of the land plots allocated for "RegionDorStroy" LLP on the territory of the village of Kumdykol (Zlatopolye) of the Burabay district, archaeological monuments "Kumdykol" (Zlatopolye village) and "Zhanazhol" dating back to the Early Iron Age and the medieval period were discovered.

During the reconnaissance work, a conversation was held with local residents who were picking berries, who indicated the location of the mound located in the forest near the village of Zhanazhol. During the investigation of the site, arrowheads were found as a find of materials in a woodchuck's hole.

When identifying such ancient archaeological mounds, it is necessary to conduct archaeological security and rescue operations in accordance with the charter of the KSU "Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage".

Since other valuable finds hidden underground are in danger of disappearing under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors, archaeological studies of the "Zhanazhol" mound in the Burabay district were conducted.

During the study, a Saka warrior dating back to the early Iron Age was discovered from the burial pit of the mound. Together with the man, several buried relics were found, among which: details of the harness and decorations of the bridle for the horse (round stripes with the image of the bird's head and the Sun god), a dagger-knife, a stone file, arrowheads of the Saxo-Scythian sample in the amount of 10 pieces and a short akinak sword.

After studying all the exhibits will find their place among the expositions of the Akmola Regional Museum of Local Lore and will replenish the museum fund.
