The festival "Dombra Fest" dedicated to the National Day of Dombra was held in Kokshetau

Dombra is a sacred instrument that contains the entire history of the people, joy and victory, courage and freedom. Since ancient times, dombra has accompanied Kazakhs both in joy and in sorrow, telling the history of the people, its traditions and unshakable values through melodies.

The continuators of the creativity of the founders of the dombra schools Kurmangazy, Dauletkerei, Tattimbet, Makhambet and Dina Nurpeisova continue the age-old traditions of dombra art today..

The holiday of the oldest musical instrument in Kazakhstan is celebrated on the first Sunday of July. This date was established in order to consolidate the Kazakh society around the values and creative ideas of cultural heritage.

In Akmola region, for the first time by the National Day of Dombra, about 1 thousand dombrists simultaneously performed Kurmangazy kui "Balbirauyn" and "Saryarka".

Employees of the Akmola Regional Court, state bodies, the Health Department of the Akmola region, cadets of the Malik Gabdullin Academy of Civil Defense, creative teams of the Palace of Culture "Dostar", cultural institutions of the Akmola region: Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyrai, the Palace of Culture "Kokshetau", Akmola Regional Scientific and Universal Library named after M.Zhumabayev, the Regional Center of Folk museums of the region, the Center for the Protection and Use of Historical and Cultural Heritage, as well as educational and cultural institutions of Birzhan Sal districts, Burabai, Akkol, Arshaly, Atbasar, Zhaksy, Yerementau, Yesil, Zharkain, Zerenda, Shortandy, Tselinograd and the cities of Kokshetau, pupils of Bolashak Sarayy, participant of the state creative order – the Center for Education and Creativity "Shabyt" and residents of the city took an active part in a large-scale festive event.
