"Night at the Museum"

"Night at the Museum" is an international event dedicated to the International Museum Day – May 18. For the first time, the "Night of Museums" was held in Berlin in 1997.

Akmola regional museums have been taking part in this world action for several years, the press service of the Akmola Region Department of Culture reports.

The incredible atmosphere of the old city of the last century was recreated by the historical reconstruction of the History Museum ofKokshetau.

All epochs of the development of the city of Kokshetau were presented to the visitors of the museum. The photo exhibition "Kokshetau: yesterday and today", "The World of childhood in a photo lens", the exhibition "Darkroom", an exhibition of children's toys, "School childhood", an exhibition of author's dolls by Zoya Mikhailovna Akayeva are located in several locations.

The guests were happy to take part in the traditional tea ceremony with lump sugar and dried fruits.

Visitors were able to plunge into the wonderful atmosphere and create photo masterpieces in the house of a citizen of the last century and at the ethnographic photo shoot "Revived History".

The guests were very interested in the master class on the game of assiki and the opportunity to write a letter with real ink and a fountain pen. The children enthusiastically took part in the quizzes, and the most active ones received memorable gifts from the museum.

A large-scale entertainment program was organized for visitors in the Akmola Regional Museum of Local History.

Master classes, including wool spinning, were organized for visitors inside the museum.

Visitors had a unique opportunity to take measurements of mammoth bones and teeth themselves, to see how primitive people made fire, to learn the history of armament of Kazakh batyrs, as well as to remember songs of the war years and much more.

In the courtyard, in small tents, an exhibition and sale of masters of decorative and prick art of Kokshetau, interesting photo zones for adults and children, a dance floor for disco lovers and a sports ground where everyone could test their strength in tug-of-war or lifting weights were presented.

As part of the worldwide campaign, for the first time, a trip to the open-air museum "Botai -Burabai" was organized for museum visitors.

Museum visitors took a tour bus to the era of Botai culture. The guide Yulia Zhelezny conducted an exciting tour. The guests of the museum were impressed by the history of Botai culture, as well as the atmosphere of the museum itself.

An open day was organized at the Malik Gabdullin Museum, where visitors could see firsthand the personal belongings of Hero of the Soviet Union Malik Gabdullin, learn about his life and work, about his heroic exploits.

In the Museum of Literature and Art, fascinating theatrical tours of the museum hall were presented for museum visitors. The soloist of the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyrai Chingiz Sarsenbai and students of the Birzhan Sala Music College performed the songs of Akan Sera, Ukili Ybyrai and Birzhan Sala. Young actors of the youth theater "Zhaukazyn" Kokshetau University named after Sh.The poems of young akyns were read by Ualikhanov.

There was also an opportunity to listen to lectures by specialists, watch videos about priceless exhibits and historical artifacts.

The workshops of the needlework masters of Kokshetau Kenzhebai Smagul, Orynbayeva Gulnar and Bakhytkul Zeinel were informative and presentable.

According to the organizers, the "Night at the Museum" this year was held at the highest level. This night allowed the guests to touch the living history of their beloved city, make an exciting journey into the era of Botai culture, learn a lot about the life of Hero of the Soviet Union Malik Gabdullin and read the unique manuscripts of the book of Skin by Ahmet Yassawi "Diuani Hikmet" dated XVI-XVII century.
