The Child Rights Protection Office of the City of Almaty

Main Functions and Areas of Activity:

• Guardianship and Custody: Placement of orphans and children left without parental care into families (adoption, guardianship, foster care (patronage), professional foster families) and monitoring of their living conditions at least once every six months.

• Case Manager Institute: Early identification of children in difficult life situations, those who have experienced violence or bullying, and provision of emergency comprehensive assistance to them. Each situation is reviewed individually.

• Coordination of Support Centers: Supervision of the activities of psychological support centers.

• Safety Control: Monitoring of compliance with anti-terrorist security measures in schools (video cameras, turnstiles) and coordination of children's summer recreation.
