Fountains will be launched in Almaty in stages

It is planned to launch 60 communal fountains in the city by May 25. As of today, 16 of them are connected. In total, there are 128 fountains in Almaty, 63 are owned by the city, 65 are privately owned. Fountains are open from 9.00 to 23.00.

Over the past five years, 13 new fountains have been built. Nevertheless, most of the fountains of the city were built in the 60-80s. Repair and restoration work allows you to maintain them in technically sound condition. The fountains are regularly undergoing ongoing repairs, sanitary cleaning and cleaning.

Currently, work is underway on the reconstruction of fountains near the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and in the Severny Square behind the KBTU building.
