The project provides for the creation of 2.5 km of a boardwalk, a beach area, children's and sports grounds, bike and skate parks. There will also be sanitary zones, police and rescue stations.
The head of the city was informed that, on his instructions, work had been carried out to ensure the accessibility of the urban environment. Work has been carried out on the section of Tole bi Street to organize access from the embankment to the sidewalk, and a ramp is also provided from Abai Street. An elevator for low-mobility groups of the population is planned to be installed on the steepest section of the stairs from Zhubanov Street. In addition, an asphalt ramp for strollers is being built on the side of Varlamov Street in a free area, without affecting the green spaces.
"If we implement something new, we need to immediately think about it for 10-20 years ahead, so that the project does not lose its attractiveness for many years. If you leave everything as it is, you'll have to redo everything after a while. It should have its own unique atmosphere for residents and visitors of the city. Therefore, all work on the reconstruction and improvement of Sayran must meet the highest requirements," the mayor said.
In the course of the work, the need for additional engineering and landscape solutions was revealed. This will improve the quality of the project, but will require more time to complete the renovation.
Earlier, the mayor made a number of comments on this project. In particular, the contractor, Pavlodar River Port JSC, was instructed to strengthen control over the quality of work. Akim paid special attention to ensuring an inclusive environment.
